Labour Force Updates
Every month Statistics Canada releases results from its monthly Labour Force Survey (LFS). The LFS provides information on a wide variety of labour market indicators and trends for Canada and the provinces such as employment, unemployment, shifts in employment across industrial sectors, hours worked, labour force participation and unemployment rates.
Summary results from the LFS are posted online monthly through Statistics Canada’s The Daily (usually the first Friday of the month). Results are normally available by 8:30 am Newfoundland time or 8:00am in Labrador.
